Crows Coffee Review

Crows Coffee

Crows Coffee is a small, quaint coffee shop with a couple of locations around Kansas City, Missouri. One location is on Redbridge Road, another is nestled in the Plaza on 51st Street, and the last is on Washington Street. I visited the one on Washington Street.

I typically select coffee shops to visit with low lighting and a comfy atmosphere. I also look into the reviews to determine if the shop is worth my time. From the shop's online presence, this seemed to be the perfect spot. The pictures highlighted my preferences while also boasting a homey and warm aesthetic. Additionally, the reviews from other satisfied customers complemented the staff and environment.

Parking at this location is off to the right of the building. If you’re going too fast, you might just miss it. The parking spots are also quite small, so if you have a big truck, this may not be the coffee shop for you! It is a small trek from the parking lot to the front doors, but once inside, the aroma hits you. The smell of freshly brewed coffee is like none other.

The pictures online accurately portrayed the vibe of the shop. I appreciated the dim lighting and calming brown tones of the furniture. Once at the counter, I was greeted promptly with a polite smile and “What can I get for you?” from the barista. As this was my first time at this particular shop, I asked what she would recommend. She told me her favorite was the Honey Cinnamon Iced Latte. That sounded fabulous, though normally I'm a Lavender Latte kind of girl.

After ordering, I sat in a cushioned chair by the window, which was more comfortable than it looked. The barista brought my drink to me with another polite smile. I sat and enjoyed my book and the atmosphere for a few hours. The only small complaint I had was the volume of the music. It was hard to focus on my book between the chatter and the amplitude of the speakers.. However, that is to be expected in a public place.

Overall, I would definitely revisit this coffee shop, if not to read, then for sure to meet a friend. If you are also looking for a cute coffee shop to relax, I think Crow's Coffee could be the place for you!
