    Hello fellow coffee enthusiasts! I visited a coffee shop this week that really piqued my interest; Revocup! This shop was recommended to me by one of my good friends, so I did something I don't usually do. I went in without reading the reviews. I decided to take my friend's word for it and go in blind, and I was not disappointed!

        There are multiple locations all over the Kansas City area, however I visited the location in Overland Park on 135th St. When I pulled in, I was pleasantly surprised to find easy parking access. The shop is connected to a few other stores and businesses, which allowed for a large parking lot. I was super lucky to get front row parking as it wasn't too busy around 4:00 p.m. Once inside, the smell of freshly brewed coffee filled the air. I noticed the shop was fairly small with a rustic, retro vibe. This made the shop feel very homey and inviting. I enjoy finding coffee shops that don't feel like chains, it definitely adds to the experience. 

        As I stated before, it was fairly empty inside, so I was able to walk right up and order. The woman who greeted me was very sweet and seemed eager to help me find what I was looking for. One thing my friend recommended was that I try their hot coffee. Now, I’m not usually a hot coffee drinker, I tend to go for iced coffees or teas, but I was determined to keep trying new things. I decided on a classic hot caramel macchiato. I took my book and sat in one of the cushioned chairs near the front of the shop. I was taken aback by how comfortable the chair was, it was the perfect mix of soft and firm. 

        The barista called my name and I gathered my drink, which came is a very cute mug. I absolutely love when coffee shops serve hot coffees in unique mugs. It makes me feel so welcomed and invited to stay. I was delighted by the smell of the caramel, it took me back to some fond memories of getting coffee with friends back in high school. It tasted just how I pictured it would, delicious. I sat back down with my mug and book and enjoyed my evening surrounded by calming music and distant chatter of baristas and customers.

        I will undoubtedly visit Revocup again. Between the kind service, yummy coffee, and unique atmosphere, it was a coffee shop experience I won't forget!
